Prof. Dr. David A. Reid

Prof. Dr. David Reid has been involved in mathematics teacher education at all levels for twenty years, primarily in Canada where he has educated teachers in three provinces and collaborated on school based research in four. Internationally, he attended school in the US, taught school in Québec, Canada, and has engaged in or collaborated on school based research in Canada, China, the UK, Sweden, and Germany. He is presently the principle investigator on a research project comparing teachers pedagogies across Canada, and plans to adapt this project to international research. He has connections with IB teachers in Canada, Germany, Switzerland and Dubai.

Prof. Dr. Christine Knipping

Prof. Dr. Christine Knipping

Prof. Dr. Christine Knipping completed the first bi-national PhD in mathematics education in 2002, having researched proving practices in German and French classrooms. She has taught at the secondary and post-secondary levels in Canada, Germany and France. Her research interests include empirical research on teaching, mathematical argumentation, sociological perspectives on mathematics teaching, and international comparative research.

Prof. Dr. Angelika Bikner-Ahsbahs

Prof. Dr. Angelika Bikner-Ahsbahs

Prof. Dr. Angelika Bikner-Ahsbahs has extensive experience as a teacher and teacher educator in German schools and universities. She is involved in an international research group focused on knowledge construction and theory networking which includes colleagues from France, Israel, Italy and Spain.

Dr. Arsen Narimanyan

Dr. Arsen Narimanyan

Dr. Arsen Narimanyan is a specialist in mathematical modeling, with university research and teaching experience in both Germany and Armenia. He speaks English, German, Russian and Armenian fluently.
