Bremen-Stammtisch in Beijing

The Programme Coordinator for Asia at the International Office, Dr. Petra Westhaus-Ekau, used her recent trip to China for a short meeting in Beijing with Mr. WANG Jian, the representative of the local Bremen-Alumni, and other former students of the University of Bremen. The alumni informed Dr. Westhaus-Ekau about their networking activities, and expressed their wish to continue and intensify the close contact with their former host university.
Specifically, they would like to organize and offer a trip for Chinese high school students and their parents to Bremen, to make it possible for students who want to gain their own, first-hand impression of the study opportunities at the university to do so.
Mr. WANG Jian, who currently works at the China Institute of Social Responsibility at the Beijing Normal University, also wants to establish contact between his department and colleagues from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Bremen, in order to explore possible cooperation in the area of student exchanges.
