Accommodation

There is a high demand for furnished rooms and apartments in Bremen. For this reason we recommend you start your search as soon as possible. Please contact the Welcome Centre so we may help you on your search.

The University of Bremen has 2 guesthouses, one is located in the city centre and the other is located close to the university. The rooms are furnished with a full kitchen. Linen and towels are provided. Rooms are cleaned and linen is changed every 14 days. Internet access (via WLAN) is included and there is a photocopier in each guest house. 

1. The Teerhof Guesthouse, established in October 1994, it is located in the heart of Bremen, on the Weser-Penninsula Teerhof. This house includes 17 single apartments and 6 double apartments.
2. The Guesthouse on Lise-Meitner-Straße is located near the university. It offers 11 single apartments and 3 double apartments.

In Bremen there are various renting agencies. A list of contacts can be provided by the Welcome Centre. 

It is also possible to do an independent search using the internet links on the right or the classifieds in the local newspaper. (e.g. Weser Kurier)

Please keep in mind that most flats in Germany are unfurnished. Considering this, you will have to transport or buy your furniture. Usually the kitchen is included. There is also a deposit to be paid which can be equal to up to three months rent. At the end, you get back the deposit plus an interest rate if the apartment is well kept.
