in 2007 the University of Bremen has been awarded with the ERASMUS UNIVERSITY CHARTA[PDF] (1.1 MB). The EUC is valid until 2013 and allows the University to participate in ERASMUS acitivities.

Under the EU ERASMUS program, students of Bremen University can spend between 3 and 12 months studying their subject at one of Bremen’s EU partner universities. Prerequisite is the existence of a bilateral ERASMUS agreement between the Faculty you are enrolled in and the partner university. Mobility grant in an average amount of 150 euros per month

Cornerstones of the ERASMUS Program:

  • No tuition fees whatsoever have to be paid to the hosting university
  • Intensive counseling, both at home university as well as your host university
  • Linguistic preparation
  • Recognition of credits awarded abroad
  • Mobility grant in an average amount of 150 euros per month

Conditions:

  • Enrollment at Bremen University;
  • Students must have completed at least one full year of studies before the start of their stay abroad;
  • Good knowledge of the language of instruction in courses attended at the host university;
  • At least basic knowledge of the language spoken in the country visited

Selection Procedure and Application Deadlines:

Applications should be submitted online. Additionally, a set of signed documents must be passed on to the ERASMUS representative[PDF] (39 KB) for your Faculty. The ERASMUS representatives decide on the allocation of the study places available. They will also provide you with information on the recognition of study credits obtained abroad and other formal and linguistic requirements.

Deadline for the submission of applications is 15th February for the whole of the following academic year. If there are any places left ― ask the respective ERASMUS representative ― you may still be able to apply after this date.
