Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG)– Funding and awards

The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft [German Research Foundation] provides support for young researchers at all stages of their career via various possibilities of funding and the award of prizes. The foundation distinguishes between individual support and funding in programs. The DFG website contains information on how to obtain funding during the PhD process (e.g. working towards a PhD in research projects and research training groups) as well as afterwards (research scholarships, financing one’s own position, the Emmy Noether Program, post-docs in research projects i.a.).

GEPRIS offers an alternative search path to find DFG projects that fit in with your respective research field. These range from small projects involving individual support up to large-scale collaborative research projects.
