Advice on Studies

The first address for information surrounding studies is the Student Advisory Service [Zentrale Studienberatung ZSB]. They will be able to assist you in all matters connected with submitting applications and seeking admittance, the content of degree programs and their requirements, as well as changing degree program/subject and place of studies.

More specific academic questions can be dealt with by the Study Centers [Studienzentren] or the Study Specialist Counseling [Studienfachberatung]: see Datenbank Studium/your program/Contact and Counseling. Questions on career guidance and starting work are best addressed to the Praxisbüros (Departmental Career-offices).

And students also help their fellow students. Under Pfadfinder you will find lots of “insider tips” which have been put together by students of the University of Bremen based on their experiences (only in German).

Studying with Child(ren)

We won’t leave you to cope with this challenge on your own. Already in the summer of 2007, the University of Bremen received the accolade and certification 'audit family-friendly university'. Child care, baby-changing facilities and on-campus playgrounds are among the many projects which have already been implemented. The International Office at the University of Bremen is the first address for all matters important for non-German students. The team of multi-lingual experts is there to advise on all the possibilities open to international students, perspectives and individual procedures. They are there to make sure your studies get off to a good start. more »
