Culture. We are always using the word, although its precise meaning remains unclear. We hear the terms “political culture“, “corporate culture”, “media culture” and “alien cultures”, and then there are the expressions „Leitkultur“ [guiding culture] and cultural imperialism. Furthermore, our present-day cultures are strongly influenced by the media and can hardly be considered in isolation from television, cinema, radio and the Internet.
