The University of Bremen’s Support Fund was set up to ensure that students at the University can study under friendly conditions and receive the best possible academic training for their future careers. The declared objective is to improve the conditions for campus life and studying at the University of Bremen. The Fund supports both large and small projects which without support from outside donations could not be realized so quickly, or even at all, but which make a big difference to students of the University.

-> Realized Projects

Help to realize the following projects:

:: In support of optimal conditions for living and studying on the campus

The University of Bremen is a campus university. It is the center of activities for 20,000 students and 3,000 employees. They need pleasant and well equipped recreational areas where they can relax and prepare themselves for work and studies, places where they can meet, engage in conversation, or simply wind down. The Support Fund assists projects which make campus life more lovable and livable and enhance study conditions.

:: For a family-friendly University

Young students with their children are nothing out of the ordinary on the University campus. In order to facilitate life for families on campus and so that parents are free to study in the knowledge that their children are well cared for, the Support Fund assists efforts to promote family friendliness, among other things on the part of the main library, the Uni-Kita e.V. kindergarden, and the "Kinderland" run by the students’ Association ASTA.

:: In support of successful career entry for students and graduates

It is important to be well prepared for career entry. The Support Fund therefore backs measures for career preparation and accordant training.
We want to help students make contact with our alumni who are already in working life. The launch of the alumni homepage this year will coincide with the acquisition of an online matching-tool which makes advice available to students and graduates via the Internet, e.g. for internships and mentoring talks.
