Content

Academic journal article publishing in English is an essential part of a university career for academic scholars and researchers. Journal writing in English as an international language has two major challenges: the mastery of writing in English as a non-native language to an international readership and the specific academic field-related writing and rhetorical conventions. Further, there are diverse myths on what makes a good manuscript, and how to internationalize one’s research in a meaningful way. This workshop wishes to provide first, a platform for knowing about this specific form of writing, and second, a creative and supportive environment to bring forward (or even finish) a manuscript during the workshop.
The workshop is aimed at PhD students struggling with an article or manuscript in progress at any stage. The requirement is that you have a text in English to work on, a draft that can be circulated among participants.

Feedback from participant of last year's course: "The trainer taught us different methods and gave us useful tips on the topic. She also dealt with our individual weaknesses and motivated us for writing academic articles."
