artecLab is an experimental group of artists, engineers and scientists searching for new forms of human-machine interaction. Our Real-Reality-Approach, now beeing part of the more general "Mixed Reality" research, is a method of modeling in reality with concrete objects, experiencing real physical phenomena, generating a corresponding computer-model with links between the real and the virtual. A general interface HyperBond serves as a translator of physical into informational phenomena and vice versa. This allows completely new forms of distributed and cooperative use of real and virtual devices and laboratory equipment.
