
The goal of the research institute is to analyse the changes in media and communication processes in terms of changes in culture, society, organisations and technology. This research takes place at the interface of cultural and social studies with technical sciences on the other. Accordingly, the research institute is oriented towards interdisciplinary cooperation, with both communication and media studies as well as techno-sociologists and media-computer researchers taking part.
