Jan Harima Leiter des Arbeitsgebiets Entrepreneurship am Fachbereich Wirtschaftswissenschaft der Universität Bremen. Seine Doktorarbeit beschäftigt sich mit Akzeleratoren als Ressourcengestalter und Moderatoren in Startup Ökosystemen. Für dieses Forschungsprojekt führte er eine dreiwöchige Feldstudie im Ökosystem Santiago de Chile zusammen mit dem bekannten Akzelerator Start-Up Chile durch. Zusätzlich zu diesem Forschungsschwerpunkt, interessieren ihn auch Startup-Support-Organisationen und die Gründerausbildung. An der Universität Bremen unterrichtet er Bachelor- und Masterstudenten mit betriebswirtschaftlichem Hintergrund hauptsächlich in projektbezogenen Kursen, in denen die Studierenden an eigenen Startup-Ideen arbeiten. Seine vielfältigen Startup-Erfahrungen als Gründer und Startup-Coach integriert er in seine Kurskonzepte. Des Weiteren hat er Unterrichtserfahrungen an der École de Management de Normandie (UK/Frankreich) und der Universität Oldenburg (Deutschland) sammeln können.

Dr. Jan Harima erwarb seinen Bachelor in International Management an der WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management (Deutschland) und seinen Master in Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Bremen (Deutschland). Er studierte zudem ein Semester an der KEIO University (Japan) als Austauschstudent.  Seine Promotion mit dem Titel "Public Accelerators as Resource Orchestrators in the Early Evolution of Entrepreneurial Ecosystems" schloss Dr. Jan Harima im Jahr 2019 mit dem Prädikat summa cum laude ab. Aufgrund seiner eigenen Startup-Erfahrungen coacht er Gründer und hilft Startups bei ihren täglichen Herausforderungen. Er ist zudem aktiv im Bremer Startup-Ökosystem integriert.
