WHAT’S THIS SESSION ABOUT?
The AI services provided by GWDG offer researchers a flexible and secure platform for applying state-of-the-art artificial intelligence in practice. The portfolio includes a powerful chatbot with advanced features such as retrieval-augmented generation, tool integration, and MCP support, as well as services for speech transcription and image processing. All components are accessible through an intuitive web interface and can be seamlessly integrated into existing research workflows via an OpenAI-compatible API.
Developed within the framework of the KISSKI project (AI Service Centre for Sensitive and Critical Infrastructures), these services are designed to meet high standards of data protection and security. This makes them particularly well suited for research projects involving sensitive data or critical application contexts. The talk will introduce the available services, highlight practical use cases, and invite researchers to explore how these AI tools can support and enhance their own work.
WHERE AND WHEN?
The session will take place from 1:00 to 1:30pm via Zoom. There will be a 15-20 minute presentation followed by an open forum for questions and discussion. The slides will be shared afterwards. We look forward to exciting discussions!

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Ali Doosthosseini obtained his M.Sc. in Applied Computer Science at University of Göttingen. During his studies, he worked part-time at the GWDG, where he utilized HPC resources to generate synthetic forest data and applied it in deep learning. He currently works full-time as a researcher in the KISSKI project, focusing on AI services for academia in Germany.
