Our application context is mainly in public administration, as well as in schools and universities. Our research is based on theoretical approaches of mediatization research, and on organizational sociological foundations.</p> <h4>Design-orientated approach</h4> <p>We follow a design-orientated approach i.e. we do not focus on the technology but on the requirements of the respective application field. This requires not only technical IT competence but also knowledge of the respective organizations. This includes business process management, IT governance and IT service management. Additionally, we focus on developments in educational institutions and deal with questions of media education, competence modelling and the use of information systems for data-driven decision-making processes in educational contexts.</p> Content
