Now that creative energy is being brought into the spotlight.The initiative "Canvas for Change: Art for Sustainability" of the University Foundation invites all members of the University of Bremen to submit their own artwork for an exhibition in December 2026. Through public talks, interactive activities, networking events and artistic projects, visitors can explore the latest developments in artificial intelligence while discovering Bremen as a hub for AI and digital transformation. Director Dr. Julia Bulk guided around 20 participants through the exhibition “Focke Meets Wagenfeld”, offering expert insights. The focus was on everyday design and its significance for culture, heritage, and the way we see the world. The evening sparked inspiring conversations in a place that embodies design and zeitgeist in Bremen. Our sincere thanks go to Dr. Julia Bulk, the team of the Wilhelm Wagenfeld House, and Dr. Katerina Vatsella. That is why we offer an event for our members every four to six weeks as part of the series “Networking of, for, and with Alumni.” The idea: At an after-work event, a host presents her- or himself, informative and interesting facts from science, business, or society, or their institution and gives the alumni room for discussion.
