Personal Details
After graduating from High School (Jungmannschule Eckernförde) in 2015, Johannes Voshaar did a one-year Federal Volunteer Service as a youth football coach and member of the club administration at Buchholzer FC in Buchholz in the Nordheide. In 2016 he started studying business administration at the University of Bremen, which he successfully completed in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree. After that, Mr. Voshaar was accepted as a fast-track doctoral candidate in 2020 at the Chair of Accounting and Control. During his studies, Johannes Voshaar worked as a working student at Ernst & Young GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Bremen from 2017 to 2019. In addition, he worked as a student assistant at the Chair of Accounting and Control from 2018 to 2020. Furthermore, Mr. Voshaar was a scholarship holder of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation during his Business studies.
During his studies, he had the opportunity to gain teaching experiences from working as a tutor for the courses “Accounting & Accounts” and “Production & Logistics (Operations Management)”.
Since July 2020, Johannes Voshaar has been a research assistant and doctorate candidate at the Chair of Accounting and Control at the University of Bremen. He does his doctoral studies focusing on Empirical Accounting Research, Accounting Regulation, and Management Accounting, esp. Cost Management. Furthermore, he is involved in the interdisciplinary digitization project WiWiNow. Since then, he is significantly involved in implementing innovative technological solutions in the university context in the process of conception, development, and coordination. This project is accompanied by associated research in Accounting Education on the app's design requirements and usage effects.
