Challenge teams and entrepreneurial programme

Until June 27, 2021 the Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE), open an application period to take part in activities promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. They are aimed at students and staff from the universities that form the Alliance, as well as the general population.

The programme consists of two initiatives: the YUFE Challenge Teams and the Entrepreneurial Programme, which, amongst others, include a series of online open courses (called MOOCs) and lecture series – called Talk Shows. This programme is part of the activities YUFE offers in its commitment to multidisciplinary and multicultural training.

YUFE Challenge Teams

As part of the YUFE Challenge Teams, institutions and companies from different sectors, as well as the general public, have proposed a series of real-life challenges to the working teams of students that they will need to solve and deliver innovative solutions at social, scientific, and technological levels. This activity will take place in multidisciplinary teams in which students from YUFE Universities can participate. The first two YUFE Challenges will take place from September to December 2021. Students can apply to be part of a team until June 20, 2021. You will find further information at: https://virtualcampus.yufe.eu/p/challenges.

Lecture Series and Online Open Courses

For its part, the YUFE Entrepreneurial Programme aims to promote students’, staff and the general public’s entrepreneurial skills, by guiding participants using training resources that will allow them to acquire these new skills. There will be two types of resources available in this first edition:

MOOCs are free online open courses, chosen from the best universities and/or prestigious organisations, which information will be available on the YUFE website.

The Talk Show programme is a lecture series. It consists of a series of talks given by experts from the field of innovation. They will be offered online by Alliance universities over a ten-month period. Each session will last two hours, the first of which will be open to the general public and the second will be reserved for YUFE students.

The lecture series, called Talk Shows, and the Online Open Courses are open for all members of the YUFE Universities and the general public. Students who pursue the YUFE Diploma Supplement Track can use the activities to gain a YUFE Professional Star.

The first two dates of the Talk Show programme:

•           14 June 2021, 10:00 - 12:00 CET: Motivation and perseverance in achieving goals; from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (NCU).

•           14 July 2021, 15:00 - 16:30 CET: Six key characteristics for a powerful business vision; from the University of Essex
