Multidisciplinary and International – The YUFE Challenge Teams

Students can apply to be part of the YUFE Challenge Teams until February 5, 2023. Together with other students from YUFE, they develop solutions to social, economic, and environmental challenges. Participating students will be awarded a certificate upon completion of the challenge.

Each team of students is led over a period of three to four months by a researcher and a mentor from the local administration or business sector. They support students by providing input on scientific methods, project design, design-thinking methods, and agile problem-solving approaches. The teams will work online and in English. The duration of the challenge is approximately 60 hours.
Upon completion of the challenge, students will receive a YUFE Professional Star – a certificate awarded for participation in various non-curricular activities offered by YUFE.

What Challenges Are There to Choose From?

  • Eco-social (ecological + social) collapse:  the aim is to find collective strategies to deal with the ecological and social crisis (especially the energy and climate crisis).
    • Duration: March 1 – June 28, 2023
  • How to overcome barriers to social integration of refugees in the local environment of the host region? • Duration: February 20 – May 22, 2023
