Rhetoric Seminar

In the Rhetoric Seminar, you’ll learn how to feel confident on stage and inspire others to engage with scientific questions and findings in an entertaining way. To achieve these goals, we’ll start by exploring fundamental techniques for speaking confidently in front of an audience and capturing their attention through engaging and polished language. Together, you’ll push your limits and learn to present your topic on stage with ease.

At the end, we’ll decide together who will actually present their ideas at a Science Slam and participate in the coaching weekend.

Coaching Weekend

During the coaching weekend, you’ll learn how to skillfully present your personal scientific topic on stage and get the audience excited about it. Together, you’ll spend two days at a youth hostel in Worpswede, where you’ll learn what makes a truly great science slam and, most importantly, how to apply that to your own topic. Of course, there will also be time to chat with the group and get to know each other better. Together, we want to have a great time and approach the project with enthusiasm so that we can pass that energy on during the science slam.

Science Slam

The finale is the Science Slam, where you’ll present your topic on stage in front of friends and family and inspire them with your enthusiasm and passion. Of course, you’ll have the chance to win the slam, but above all, you’ll have the opportunity to learn new methods and get others to share your interests and passions.
