The Interactive Sonification Workshop (ISon 2022) takes place on September 22-23 as hybrid event at the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (HWK) in Delmenhorst. Sonification is the presentation of data using intelligible sound, e.g., for monitoring complex processes, or assisting exploration of and navigation through data spaces; i.e., it is a sub-discipline of data science. Tim Ziemer is the main organizer of the ISon 2022 co-organized by Thomas Hermann and Roberto Bresin.
The DSC Seed Grant will be used to organize and implement hands-on tutorials at ISon 2022 on Sonic-Tilt , the open-source version of Tiltification , the impactful spirit level sonification app for Android and iOS developed by the students of the masters project “Sonification Apps”.
