This year, 30 declarations of intent were submitted to the DFG and published on the DFG-NFDI website. In addition to the University of Bremen and the DSC, the following seven institutions from the Bremen area are involved: BIPS, MARUM, AWI, Fraunhofer MEVIS, IWT, German Maritime Museum and Jacobs University. Out of 18 binding letters of intent for an application in 2020, four are with Bremen contribution:

InnoMatSafety - Consortium for the Safety of Innovative Materials

In three rounds, the German federal and state governments fund up to 30 consortia over a period of five years. A total of up to 85 million euros per year are available for this purpose. The deadline for submitting an application in this round is September 30, 2020, with funding beginning on October 1, 2021.
