The use of deep learning in IoT and Edge Computing devices creates new challenges. With an advanced ML-method, the power consumption of graphic cards can be determined during the development phase.

On 30 and 31 August, experts will discuss about open science at the Open Science Festival at Leibniz Universität Hannover. The DSC will also be present at the festival – Meet us at the marketplace at stand 17!

As part of this year’s summer holiday programme of the “Haus der Wissenschaft” (House of Science), students got the opportunity to learn how to visualize complex issues with the help of sketchnotes. With his talk, Prof. Dr. Rolf Drechsler provided an insight into the field of data science.

From June 22 till 24 the fourth International Data Power Conference took place. This year’s conference was focused around the overarching topic of “Dialogues in Data Power”. The event was financially supported by the DSC.

As a new Data Steward, Heike will from now on support scientists in the field of social sciences and humanities with the management of research data.

We are excited to announce the publication of a novel Natural Language Processing approach at the SKILL student conference, which was developed in a bachelor thesis at DSC.

As the first of three Data Stewards, Dr. Julian Lilkendey will from now on support scientists with the management of research data.

The position is initially part of CRC “Global Dynamics of Social Policy&edquo; for continuing the development of the leading Global Welfare State Information System (WeSIS). Perpectively, the position will be located at the central IT-service area.
