Transient Electromagnetics (TEM)

The tTEM is a state-of-the-art system designed for rapid, high-resolution mapping of the shallow subsurface (down to approx. 70–100 m).

  • Deployment: Towed behind an ATV, allowing for the coverage of large areas (tens of hectares) in a single day.
  • Applications: Detailed 3D mapping of aquifers, clay layers, and saltwater intrusion zones.
  • Key Advantage: Provides a continuous "scan" of the subsurface electrical conductivity, filling the gap between point-scale boreholes and large-scale airborne surveys.
