The sixth certificate awarded to the University of Bremen 2023

We are pleased to announce that the University of Bremen was awarded the prestigious certificate for its high level of commitment and family-friendly measures on June 13, 2023 in Berlin. This was the sixth time our university has been awarded the certificate, which once again confirms our efforts to be an outstanding educational institution.

The ceremonial awarding of the certificate took place in front of numerous high-ranking guests and was an important milestone for the University of Bremen. The award recognizes our efforts to create a family-friendly environment and to offer our students, employees and researchers the best possible conditions.

We would like to thank all students, employees and supporters who contributed to this success.

Digital certification ceremony of the audit "family-friendly university" in 2020

In the summer of 2020, the University of Bremen was again honored for its numerous offers and measures as part of the family-friendly university audit. The ceremonial award ceremony in Berlin had to give way to a digital celebration due to the pandemic.

Audit Family-Friendly University in 2017

In summer 2017, the University of Bremen was honored once again for its numerous offers and measures as part of the audit family-friendly university. At the official award ceremony, the Director of Finance and Administration of the University of Bremen, Dr. Martin Mehrtens, received the certificate from Dr. Katarina Barley, the then Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.

Award by Bremen’s Collaborative Project Beruf & Familie (Work and Family) in 2010

At a festive award ceremony of the Bremen collaborative project in autumn 2010, the then mayor and Senator for Finance Karoline Linnert, handed the award to the Director of Finance and Administration and the project manager of the audit family-friendly university to honor the outstanding commitment of the University of Bremen.

Successful re-auditing of the University of Bremen in 2023
