Konferenzi u laqgħat

The Malta Centre is active in organizing conferences outside Bremen.

Beginning with the 4th Lingwistika Maltija, which took place from 17-19 June 2013 in Lyon/France, the Malta Centre is involved in the organization of the GĦiLMsymposia in their run-up, on-site and follow-up. This concerns the 5th Lingwistika Maltija (24-26 June 2015 in Turin/Italy), the 6th Lingwistika Maltija (8-9 June 2017 in Bratislava/Slovakia) and the 7th Lingwistika Maltija (10-12 July in Kraków/Poland).

The8th Lingwistika Maltijawill take place from 18 - 20 September 2023 in Bremen.

With the active participation of the Malta Centre, three edited volumes emerged from these conferences:

As a special event, on 30 April 2015 at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, the Malta Centre gave a ceremonial farewell to the world-renowned linguist Bernard Comrie, who has made an outstanding contribution to research on Maltese.
