The field of work “Diversity and Power Criticism in the Context of Educational Pathways” deals with educational processes in a society characterized by diverse differences. Teaching and research focus on learning spaces influenced by heterogeneity and inequality and on the professionalization of educators with a critical approach to discrimination. Particular attention is paid to transitions from school to training and work, challenges associated with learning German as a professional language, and pedagogical approaches that strive to shape social interaction in such a way that everyone can live together with respect and dignity.

The research also relates to the field of career guidance and vocational education and training and is based at the Institute for Technology and Education (ITB).
