Research visit of Ksenia Gonchar from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow

From 16 to 29 September 2019, Ksenia Gonchar from the Higher School of Economics will visit the University of Bremen. Ksenia Gonchar is a leading researcher at the Institute for Industrial and Market Studies (IIMS) at HSE and has been working with Jutta Günther and her team for many years.

During her research stay this year Ksenia Gonchar visits the consortium meeting within the project "Mod-Block-DDR", which took place on September 16, 2019 at the Technical University of Berlin. In the future, she will work as a cooperation partner in subproject 1 on the analysis of the productivity gap in East Germany. Participation in the consortium meeting enabled her to introduce herself to the research network and then to agree on joint research questions with the team of subproject 1.

Ksenia Gonchar also uses the research stay to work with members of the working group on further joint research papers.

The visit of Ksenia Gonchar takes place within the framework of the DAAD programme "Eastern Partnerships", in which the University of Bremen has successfully participated for many years in order to support scientific cooperation and mobility measures with Eastern Europe. The Higher School of Economics Moscow has been an important cooperation partner for many years for the Faculty of Economics and for the University of Bremen as a whole.
