The annual conference of the Regional Studies Association on “Navigating Regional Transformation” took place from May 7 to 9. The conference was held at the Faculdade de Economia da Universidade do Porto.

Jessica Birkholz presented an analysis of the diffusion of energy narratives based on press releases. The project uses new methods to process large amounts of data from press releases and provides an understanding of the dissemination patterns and processes of narratives about renewable energies in German regions.

Susanna Bolz presented research on the analysis of sustainability reports from German companies. The aim of the project is to use a new approach to identify sustainability measures in the reports, classify their content and explain the distribution by regional factors.
