Julian Thiele new research assistant

Since June 1, 2020 Julian Thiele is a new research assistant (PhD student) in the research group Innovation and Structural Economics.

He will work in the project on the future of energy supply in the steel industry (H2B) financed by the Bremer Aufbaubank and will write his dissertation within this project. His empirical research will focus on behavioural economic studies on acceptance in the context of energy system transformations. It will be investigated which potentials and barriers are important in light of this structural change. To conduct the research Julian Thiele will use the infrastructure of the "Bremen Research & Policy Lab" (BreLAB). The H2B research project will be led within the working group by Dr. Tobias Wendler and carried out in close cooperation with the "Resilient Energy Systems" group of the Department of Production Engineering at the University of Bremen. It is also a project that belongs to the Bremen Research Center for Energy Systems (BEST).

Julian Thiele studied Industrial Engineering (B.Sc. & M.Sc.) at the Leibniz Universität Hannover and very successfully completed his Master's degree in September 2019 with a focus on environmental economics.

We would like to warmly welcome Julian Thiele to the research group.
