New Innovation Indicators for Research and Policy - Successful Conclusion of the "Neo-Indikatorik" Project

On February 03, 2021, the conference on "Further Development of Indicators for Research and Innovation" hosted by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) took place. The event gave seven research projects the opportunity to present their results in short statements and to discuss them with representatives from science and politics. Jutta Günther and Katharina Friz took part in the conference as participants of the project "Neo-Indikatorik".

The research project "Neo-Indikatorik" (Network and Output Measurement - Indicators for a Transformative Technology Transfer) has been working on the development of new indicators for R&D statistics for the last three years. The project was carried out in cooperation with the Stifterverband (Wissenschaftsstatistik GmbH) and the Zentrum für Sonnenenergie- und Wasserstoff-Forschung (ZSW) Stuttgart and has already produced a number of publications and conference contributions along the interim results.

A book (open access) will soon be published by Springer, which will make the results available to a wide audience.
