On October 29 and 30, the international workshop "Regional Inequality in Europe and the United States", organized by CREATE at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Institute for Economic Research & Policy (ierp), took place as an online event. The workshop brought together renowned researchers from various countries and thus offered the opportunity to critically discuss research projects and results. Philip Kerner presented a research paper in cooperation with Torben Klarl and Tobias Wendler (both University of Bremen), in which they examine the economic growth effects of green technology development in European regions. In addition, our research group was represented by Ann Hipp in another paper - Thore Sören Bischoff (Georg-August-University of Göttingen) presented a research paper on regional differences in trust and its influence on innovation in Germany, in which she participates as co-author.
