[Translate to English:] Presentations at the GEOinno 2018 Conference

Mariia Shkolnykova, Maciej Grodzicki and Muhamed Kudic took part in the 4th Geography of Innovation (GEOinno) Conference in Barcelona on January 31 to February 02, 2018.

The conference was organized by the AQR research group (Regional Quantitative Analysis) and the EuroLIO (European Localized Innovation Observatory). More than 250 papers were presented during the conference covering a wide range of topics underlying the geography of innovation, such as knowledge spillovers, multinational companies, innovation clusters, relatedness, knowledge complexity, and networks.
Mariia Shkolnykova presented a recent paper on "The Geographical and Technological Roots of German Bio Economy - session on knowledge spaces", which is related to the research project "B2B Future" funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The project is coordinated by Muhamed Kudic, conducted together with colleagues from the University of Greifswald.
Maciej Grodzicki presented a paper entitled "Technological capabilities and the New International Division of Labour", which includes results of the research pursued within his DAAD P.R.I.M.E. project in collaboration with Maria Savona and Tommaso Ciarli from the University of Sussex, SPRU.
