Presentation by Jarina Kühn about the topic "Life-long learning in the context of proceeding technologisation – Meaning of increasing qualification requirements for elderly employees"

On February 19th, 2019, Jarina Kühn had a presentation at Daimler in Bremen about the perception of elderly people on vocational training.

In order to contribute to the organisation and conceptualisation of needs-oriented vocational training for elderly employees, she presented the results of her recently successfully completed master thesis. Using problem-centred interviews, she examined the effect of externally-initiated formal learning for elderly employees in a vocational context from a qualitative-empirical perspective.

Because of technology-induced qualification requirements as well as the consequences of the demographic change concerning age-related employee distribution in companies, vocational training especially for elderly employees is a significant topic for politics and economics.
