Dr. Melanie Dunger (Postdoc)
Personal details
Melanie Dunger has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Economic Research and Policy (IERP) at the University of Bremen since 2024. Her research interests lie in the field of behavioral economics and experimental economic research, with a particular focus on environmental economics and information economics. She is particularly interested in how individuals and societies process and respond to information, especially in the context of environmental decision-making, public policy, and the perception of new technologies.
Previously, she worked at the Chair of Innovation and Structural Economics and analyzed how information, communication and technology characteristics influence the acceptance of CCS technologies in the AIMS³ project. She wrote her dissertation at the University of Göttingen, at the Chair of Microeconomics, in which she focused on social norms. Prior to this, Ms Dunger completed her Master's degree in Economic Behaviour and Governance and her Bachelor's degree in Economic Education at the University of Kassel.
