Projektdetails
Patient Sharing Networks in Health Services Research (Dominik Domhoff)
Description
This doctoral project examines informal care networks in the German healthcare system using statutory health insurance claims data. The central concept is that of patient-sharing networks – networks of healthcare providers defined by the co-treatment of the same patients. The project analyzes how quality and structure of care within these networks relate to nursing home admissions among individuals who become care-dependent for the first time. In addition, the methodological dimension of cluster analysis in directed, weighted networks is examined by comparing the results of different community detection algorithms.
