Public Health Ethics and Film
Duration: 01.09.2021 - 31.07.2023

Funding: Universität Bremen, Zentrum für Multimedia in der Lehre (ZMML)
Description
Movies are a good starting point for reflecting on taboos and moral conflicts in health care. They negotiate everyday experiences and make topics visible that are rarely discussed in public or academic discourse. Our project supports students in public health seminars to analyse film in relation to various issues of public health. We developed videos and learning material to support students with their term papers or presentations. Doing so, the historical, social, and ethical dimensions of public health topics in audiovisual media are analysed and reflected.
