Expert Commission Pursuant to Section 53 of the Nursing Professions Act (PflBG) Presents the Framework Curricula for the Nationwide Standardized Nursing Assistant Training Programme to the BMBFSFJ and the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG)

The handover took place on 30 June 2026. Prof. Dr. Ingrid Darmann-Finck of the IPP, Chair of the Expert Commission, explained at the BMBFSFJ how the Commission translated the new occupational profile into the framework curriculum.

Researchers from the IPP organised a symposium at the 23rd IAGG in Amsterdam and presented papers and a poster on care settings for people with dementia and on the role of hearing-assistance technologies in the social well-being of people requiring care and support.

Karin Wolf-Ostermann and Emily Mena from the IPP are attending the 2nd International Conference on AI in Medicine and Healthcare (AiMH 2026)

Prof. Karin Wolf-Ostermann gave a keynote speech on the oppor-tunities, challenges and future directions of AI in nursing, whilst Dr Mena presented the latest findings from the SAVE & SAFE rese-arch project on AI-supported fall prevention at the accompanying symposium.

The Public Health Ethics Working Group (AEM/DGPH) held the workshop Methods in Public Health Ethics. Part 1: Case Discussions at LMU Munich on 3–4 July 2026. The workshop explored methodological challenges in case-based approaches and marked the beginning of a new workshop series.
