Since September 1, 2022, Michael Rochlitz, Professor of Institutional Economics, is also acting head of the Chair of Economics, esp. Innovation and Structural Economics. The professorship is formally led by Prof. Dr. Jutta Günther who serves as President of the University of Bremen since September 1, 2022. 

Michael now supervises several research projects: the Mod-Block-GDR project that deals with the structural economic consequences of socialism and transformation in East Germany and Eastern Europe, and projects that focus on the development and deployment of sustainable energy systems and technologies (H2B, hyTracks, hyBit) and on the dynamics of innovation systems (DynamicInno).  Besides, Michael continues to head the working group of Institutional Economics.
