On June 26, Michael Rochlitz was a guest on “In der Wirtschaft“ Podcast – a podcast about a variety of economic topics, conceived and recorded by (former) students of ‘Plurale Ökonomik’ Master’s program at the University of Siegen. The podcast episode was dedicated to the Russian economy and was hosted by Rudolf Faininger and Martin Middelanis.

Among other issues, Michael discussed problems that occurred during the transition to the market economy in the early 1990s, persisting Soviet legacies in the Russian economy, like the case of monotowns, oligarchy, and political reasons for economic stagnation in the country in the last decade.
