Fatih Sönmez, a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at University of Evora (Portugal), is currently a visiting researcher in the team of Prof. Dr. Michael Rochlitz at the University of Bremen. Fatih's research interests are Quantitative Economics, İnstitutional Economics and Political Economics and he will be working on ‘Corruption and Democratisation’ chapter of his thesis during his research stay in Bremen until February, 2021. Fatih received a bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Gazi, Turkey and concluded his master’s at the University of Beira Interior, Portugal. His master thesis was entitled “Social and Economic Determinants of Corruption: A Panel Data Analysis for 25 European and OECD Members”.
