Presentation at the ASEEES Conference 2020

On November 7th, 2020, Michael Rochlitz presented the paper “Authoritarian Innovation: Theory and Experimental Evidence from Russia and China” (joint work with Torben Klarl) at the annual convention of the Association of Slavic, East European & Eurasian Studies (ASEEES), which due to the coronavirus pandemic was organized as a virtual convention this year. The paper examines the trade-off between control and innovation in authoritarian regimes, with a regional focus on Russia and China.
