🎓 1. Admission requirements for the law programme

Admission requirements:

higher education entrance qualification (e.g. Abitur)
alternatively: trial study period if a higher education entrance qualification has not yet been obtained

admission to the law programme is restricted
study places are allocated once a year, starting in the winter semester
selection procedure with rankings / waiting lists

📝 2. Application – step by step

🖥️ A) Online application

Apply through the central online application portal “moin” of the University of Bremen.
For degree programmes with restricted admission (such as law) you also require an account at Hochschulstart.de to obtain a BID/BAN.

👉 Tip: Register early with Hochschulstart and the “moin” portal in order to comply with the deadlines.

📅 B) Deadlines

Application for the winter semester: 1 May to 15 July (start of studies in October)
Application for the summer semester: 1 December to 15 January (start of studies in April)
➡️ For degree programmes with open admission different deadlines may apply.

📄 3. Important information for applicants

📌 New students

For the first semester: registration at Hochschulstart + moin
You can submit more than one application (depending on the procedure).

🔄 Change of university or subject

If you have studied before, different rules apply – you apply for a higher semester.

🌍 International applicants

Check whether language certificates and/or preliminary documentation obtained fromuni-assist are required and observe additional requirements regarding the recognition of diploma/certificates.

🎉 4. Before starting studies – orientation and study start offers

✔ Orientation week (O-Woche):

Takes place in the week before courses start
Tutors provide organisational and subject-specific information.
