This year, the University of Bremen is participating in the PAX Moot for the second time and has once again made it to the oral phase of the competition.

On 9 March, 1:15 p.m., Priv.-Doz. Dr. Till Markus, LL.M. will give a teaching demonstration on the topic "Introduction to Marine Environmental Law".

On 16 February 2026, the first Bremer-Groningen PhD Researcher Meeting (“Doktorand:innentreff”) took place, jointly organised by Prof. Dr. Gralf-Peter Calliess (University of Bremen) and Dr. Benedikt Schmitz (University of Groningen).

On 22 January 2026, the 10th Labour Law Moot Court Competition took place at the Federal Labour Court.

Prof. Dr. Gralf-Peter Calliess and Dr. Nicholas Mouttotos visited the YUFE partner university of the University of Bremen, the University of Cyprus and the University of Nicosia, where the 5th annual symposium of the Procedural Law Unit took place.

China is preparing an ambitious codification of its entire environmental law. Prof. Dr. Gerd Winter has met with members of the drafting committee several times to advise them from the perspective of European environmental law.

The 8th Maritime Law Conference on 6 November 2025 was held for the first time at the Domshof premises. Prof. Calliess und PD Dr. Markus acted as scientific advisors of the Maritime Law Research Network at the conference.

The German Law Journal has published a Special Issue featuring the proceedings of the international conference on Informed Consent to Dispute Resolution Agreements, held in Bremen on 20–21 June 2024.

On Tuesday, 11 November 2025, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, the Faculty Careers Day will take place for the second time at the Faculty of Law. Eleven exhibitors will provide you with the opportunity to get in touch with employers from the region.

On 23 October 2025, the teams of the University of Bremen visited labour law expert Ulrike Brinkmann at GÖHMANN lawyers at the Bremen Cotton Exchange in preparation for the moot court at the Federal Labour Court in January 2026.
