Since the winter semester 2010/2011, the teacher training study "Art education" has been offered as part of the B.A. Art - Media - Aesthetic Education and can be continued from the winter semester 2008/2009 in a subsequent Master of Education.

Goals of study

The students of M.Ed. Art - Media - Aesthetical education with the study offers teacher training for high school and for primary school acquire the following competencies:

From a didactic point of view, they reflect art and media practices as well as art and media theories against the background of current positions in art didactics.

They practice pedagogical sensitivity and judgment for the planning, initiation, realization and evaluation of art lessons.

They develop and explore teaching concepts for the integration of artistic / media designs and art and media science teaching contents

They develop different communication and design strategies (for example, perform, stage, present, evaluate) and test their use in the classroom.

They develop skills for differentiation, individual support and self-directed learning as well as competencies for diagnosis, prognosis and evaluation in the field of art.

Costs and living

Students have to pay a semester fee per semester (as of summer semester 2018: 331.42 €). From the 15th semester and from the age of 55, an additional € 500 will be charged. Information about the semester fee can be found at the student office and tuition fees under the following link.

The city and the country Bremen are presented on www.bremen.de . Apartment offers are published there and at the Studentenwerk Bremen. Students who relocate to Bremen for the first time receive an one-time welcome gift of 150, - €.
