The Departments History of the Middle Ages, Early Modern History, Latin American History and Modern and Contemporary History invite doctoral students and internationally renowned professors to present their current research projects.
Prof. Dr. Christine Hatzky (Leibniz University Hannover) will kick things off on 16 April 2025 with a lecture on "Wissenschaftskooperation im
Globalen Süden: Kubaner*innen und Angolaner*innen erforschen die „nationale Frage“ im
postkolonialen Angola“. During the summer semester, further research projects from the history of Latin America will be presented by Dr. Cary Aileen García Yero (Harvard University, Cambridge), Prof. Dr. Max Paul Friedman (American University, Washington, DC), Prof. Dr. Ulrich Mücke (Universität Hamburg) and Mgr. Katerina Brezinova, Ph.D. (Metropolitan University Prague).
The research colloquium always takes place on Wednesdays from 6-8 pm in GW2 in room B 2880.
