A Teaching Award recognizes the exceptional commitment and outstanding teaching visible.
The University of Bremen recognizes the importance of a prize at an early stage and the first German university to award a prize: The Berninghausen Prize.
Donated by the Berninghausen family, it has been awarded annually for outstanding achievements in university teaching since 1991. It is split into three categories.
- 1. Excellently designed course in the sense of research learning: in the Bachelor
- 2. Excellently designed course in the sense of research-based learning: in the Master
- 3rd Student Prize
The award ceremony has been taking place as part of the "Teaching Day " since 2012.
