The students should know and understand the design and planning possibilities in production and logistics as well as understand, present, evaluate and develop their own suggestions for solutions.

The students should know and understand the formation and the planning interrelations in distribution and reverse Logistics as well as understand, present, evaluate and develop their own solutions.
Course in English
After having completed the course, students are capable to solve strategic, tactical and operative operations and logistics management problems. These include: location and transportation problems, demand forecast, inventory management and aggregate planning.
Course in German language
Students are capable of recognizing relevant management-specific logistics problems and developing solution strategies. Furthermore they build up research competencies and social skills via interactive group processes.
Course in German language
Students will receive insight into the management of supply chains in the consumer goods industry which are known under the umbrella of “Efficient Consumer Response” (ECR). The course discusses a) the general interaction between marketing, logistics, IT and strategy within the consumer goods industry, b) supplier-retailer relationship management in saturated markets; c) interorganizational logistics network structures and concepts. Upon course completion students should be able to a) understand and to optimize marketing logistics processes in hypercompetitive industrial settings; b) to specify the most important design criteria and components for retail specific supply chain management; c) to recognize and to dissolve interorganizational dilemmas between retailers and suppliers in the consumer goods industry.
