At the traditional ProMat breakfast, the new students met their fellow students in the program. It was a welcome opportunity to reconnect, exchange ideas, and build new networks. New arrivals include Alexander Cordes, who is focusing on “Dust Processing in the Context of Space Resource Utilization (SRU).” His ProMat mentor is Paul Zabel (DLR). Swantje Drolshagen is focusing on “Material Modeling and Simulation of Sustainable Polymer Systems” under the guidance of her mentor Katharina Koschek (Fraunhofer IFAM). Johanne von Kampen has chosen the focus area “Chemical Process Engineering” and will be supervised by Sven Kerzenmacher (Department of Environmental Process Engineering).
A big thank you to our mentors, who are guiding the students on their journey with their expertise—and to everyone who is helping us shape the future of materials science.
We look forward to exciting projects and wish you a successful start to your studies!
