New Paper Accepted for 40th International Conference on Information Systems

The paper, which was co-authored with colleagues from France, explores a persistent problem that many health care organizations face during digital transformation.

We are proud to announce that the paper “Persistent Paradoxes in Pluralistic Organizations: A Case Study of Continued Use of Shadow-IT in a French Hospital” has been accepted for Publication at the 40thInternational Conference on Information Systems (VHB Jourqual 3 Ranking “A”). The paper, which was co-authored with colleagues from France, explores a persistent problem that many health care organizations face during digital transformation namely that employees use private messengers for work purposes. Exploring the case of a French hospital where doctors continuously used WhatsApp to share patient images, the paper theorizes how such paradoxical situations can arise and persist.
