We are proud to announce that our new paper "Unpacking the Difference between Digital Transformation and IT-enabled Organizational Transformation" is now forthcoming in Journal of the Association for Information Systems (VHB Jourqual Ranking 3 “A”). This is the first publication to disentangle the notions of 'digital transformation' and 'IT-enabled Organizational Transformation' based on an empirical study. This is also the first major research publication that resulted from the “Paperathon” competition at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS). Professor Wessel’s team was the first author team to ever win this competition and to publish a paper based on a hackathon in a leading academic journal.
Besides telling a theoretically and practically meaningful story, the paper is also the result of a very intense collaboration with four esteemed colleagues that we value highly: Abayomi Baiyere (Copenhagen Business School), Roxana Ologeanu-Taddei (University of Montpellier), Jonghyuk Cha (Westminster Business School), and Tina Blegind Jensen (Copenhagen Business School) – we thank you so much!
